I have had some great moments taking photos, and this morning was one of those times.

I wanted to go down to the river and try out some long exposure photos, so this morning I grabbed the tripod, remote shutter release and 10 stop neutral density filter.

I was expecting to have some difficulty adjusting the exposure and setting focus, but using live view on my Canon 7D, it was very simple. I could set the exposure for 100ISO, f/11 and 20″, and the LCD screen would give me a properly exposed view of the scene to dial in my focus. Sometimes when you think something will be difficult, and then you actually go out and do it, you might just be surprised at how simple and fun it was.
